Frequently Asked Questions

What is the single purpose of Passport Autofill?
The extension is designed exclusively to help travel agencies, medical recruitment consultants, and visa processing agents extract passport biometric details (via client-side OCR) and accurately autofill corresponding fields on authorized visa booking and medical examination portals (such as Wafid/GAMCA and Enjaz).
How does the extension protect passport applicant privacy?
Passport images and MRZ text are processed locally inside your browser runtime. We never sell, share, or store applicant biometric data on external servers for marketing, and OCR memory is cleared once the active form session concludes.
Which permissions does the extension require and why?
The extension requires only 'activeTab' (to read and fill fields only on the tab you are actively working on), 'scripting' (to locate input boxes and dropdowns), and 'storage' (to save your preferred theme, language, and custom field mappings locally).
How do daily scan limits and quotas work?
Every registered agency account receives a daily scan allowance. When you scan a passport or autofill a form, your remaining daily quota updates in real time. Quotas automatically replenish every 24 hours. Enterprise and custom quotas can be activated by contacting support.
Can I customize mappings for portals not preconfigured?
Yes! Use the '🔍 Scan This Page' button in the extension side panel. It will automatically detect all input fields, checkboxes, and select dropdowns on any webpage, allowing you to map passport attributes and save custom templates for that specific domain.
